Before You Call

  • What is the Glyph Model number and serial number?
    You can find this on the back of rack units, and on the bottom of tabletop units, or on the paper that came with your system. Still no luck? Check the original box, there should be a label on the end with the information.)
  • What model initiator are you using? (Macintosh G5, Pentium 4 PC, Kurzweil K2500?)
  • What operating system are you running?
  • What DAW and/or NLE software are you using and what version is it?
  • What is the connectivity to your Glyph devices - FireWire, USB, SCSI, or eSATA?
  • Are there any other devices connected to your computer?
  • If you're using SCSI, what are the SCSI addresses (ID numbers) for each device?
  • What host bus adapter card are you using?

If you reformatted your drive you may have lost your cool Glyph Icon. Copy this icon to your drive by selecting your drive on the desktop, go to File > Get Info, then paste it in the upper left corner where the current icon is.

Glyph Manager Software Download

The GT 062 ships with the Glyph Manager software on CD, a utility for Mac OS X and Windows that configures the GT 062 in one of the four drive modes, and displays health status of the GT 062 drives. You can also download the latest version of Glyph Manager here. Glyph Manager is designed to work with GT 062 units with serial number 83000 and later. To determine if your GT 062 supports Glyph Manager please read our GT 062 upgrade policy.

Version 1.3 for Mac OS X includes two installers. The first is for Mac OS 10.4 and 10.5 and is a Universal Binary (supports both Intel and PowerPC Macs). The second is for Mac OS 10.3 and supports PowerPC Macs only.

Glyph Manager build 1074 (Release 2) adds support for Windows Vista patched with Service Pack 1. Service Pack 1 must be installed to allow installation of Glyph Manager under Vista. If your installation of Vista is configured for automatic updates, Service Pack 1 is automatically downloaded. If it is not, you must download Service Pack 1 from here.

USB Driver Download

Driver Download -- Win98 and WinME USB Device Driver

This driver is for all customers using a Glyph product with a USB port on a Windows 98 or Windows ME system. This driver needs to be installed on the system for the device to be recognized.
This driver is only needed on Windows 98 and ME systems.

As of January 2006, Glyph products that are effected include the netDrives combo FW+USB drives, PortaGig combo FW+USB drives, GT 050Q Quad interface drives with FireWire400/800, eSATA and USB, GT 062 with FireWire400/800 and USB, and WildFire combo FW+USB DVD/CD-R/RW drives.
