2TB Disk Size limit with older versions of Pro Tools (ver 8 and lower)

Problem:
Older versions of Pro Tools® (version 8 and lower) do not support record or playback on disks larger than 2TB. If you attempt to record or playback from any locations on the disk above 2TB, Pro Tools will give errors. A disk larger than 2TB
will work until it is filled to 2TB, then it will give errors.

Solution:
This problem has been fixed in Pro Tools 9 and higher. For Pro Tools 8 and lower, we recommend changing to a RAID mode that presents a disk less than 2TB. The following ForteRAID models are smaller than 2TB and are compatible: 1TB and 2TB (any drive mode); 3TB and 4TB (RAID 1, RAID 3 + hot spare, RAID 5 + hot spare, RAID 10). The 6TB, 8TB and 12TB are not recommended for Pro Tools 8 and lower, unless used as backup only, because there will be so much wasted space.
