Older versions of Pro Tools® (version 8 and lower) do not support record or playback on disks larger than 2TB. If you attempt to record or playback from any locations on the disk above 2TB, Pro Tools will give errors. A disk larger than 2TB will work until it is filled to 2TB, then it will give errors.
Solution:
This problem has been fixed in Pro Tools 9 and higher. We do not recommend using the 3TB GPT50 with Pro Tools 8 and lower.
